Tuesday, April 12

French students arrive at Sauk Prairie High School

Wednesday, April 13

French students will experience an American school day by attending classes with their host student.

3rd hour required Welcome meeting followed by student-led tours of the school.

Presentations in French classes: our town, our community.

Thursday, April 14

           9:30-10:30 Wisconsin Historical Museum-Native Peoples of Wisconsin            

           11:00 Shopping on State Street

           12:30 Picnic lunch at Monona Terrace

           2:00 Tour of the Capitol

           3:30  Return to SPHS

           4:30  French and Host students set up and prepare Welcome Dinner

           5:30-7:00 Welcome Dinner for French and American students in the River Arts Gallery

             9:00 Cultural landscapes tour

             10:30-11:15 Welcome from UW Madison-virtual visit of the campus from Van Hise Hall.  Presentation: The American University

            11:30 Lunch

            12:00 Shopping at the University Bookstore and visit to the Chazen Museum             

Optional Evening Tailgate barbecue and baseball game 

Wednesday, April 20

Tour of Wollersheim winery

Afternoon classes with host students

Ecology activity

Thursday, April 21-

        9:00-10:30 Sauk Prairie High School play, Crazytown, in the River Arts Theater

       11:00 Tour of Sauk Prairie Harley Davidson

       12:00 Picnic lunch

       1:00-2:15 Fire station tour

       2:45-3:15 law enforcement presentation

Optional evening activity: SPHS Girls Varsity soccer vs. Waunakee

                                            SPHS Lacrosse vs. Madison East

Friday, April 22- Earth day

       8:00-8:50 L’arbre de l’amitié Tree planting ceremony,

       8:50 UW Arboretum

       9:50 Joint field trip-guided visit of the UW Arboretum with French students and their hosts.

       12:00 Picnic at Henry Vilas Park

           American sports (football/kickball/softball)

           Henry Vilas Zoo
